Gainesville, the Hall County seat at the north end of Lake Lanier, had two hail days in September 2026 alone. Robust Roofing is hiring Roofing Project Managers to help Gainesville homeowners recover, with a pay plan we consider the best in roofing sales anywhere in North Georgia, from the Atlanta suburbs to the lake: a $75,000 per year base and a true 50/50 split with no deductions.

Historic streets and lake communities

Gainesville's housing spans more than a century. The Green Street Historic District, a half-mile corridor of Victorian and Neoclassical Revival homes listed on the National Register in 1975, anchors the core. Around it sit mid-century Northside Heights, with a median build year about 1950, Longstreet Hills (1955) and Cherokee Forest (1970). Along the lake in 30506 are gated Harbour Point, Marina Bay with its 280-slip marina, and the gated Cresswind at Lake Lanier community of more than 900 homes. Mundy Mill heads a 2020s building wave, and Chattahoochee Country Club, Riverstone Plantation, Stratford on Lanier and Chattahoochee Estates fill in between. HOAs govern the newer subdivisions and lake communities but not most of the older streets. That split matters on a project: some Gainesville homeowners need their color choice approved before the build and others do not, and knowing which is which keeps a project moving.

For a Project Manager, that variety keeps the work interesting. A 1950s home and a 2010s lake house raise different questions, and the training we provide prepares you for both.

Gainesville's storm year

Radar estimates and National Weather Service reports show 7 days with hail of 0.75 inch or larger over Gainesville since January 2025, 3 of them at 1 inch or more. The largest, about 1.3 inches, came on September 5, 2026, when radar also estimated 60 mph wind over the 30507 zip. Hail returned on September 20, 2026, after an earlier round on March 6, 2026. Tree cover is heavy on in-town lots and around the lake coves, so wind and limb damage belong in the inspection too.

When storms cluster like that, the number of homeowners who need help climbs with them. That is the work this role exists to do.

The job, step by step

  1. Meet the homeowner and run a free roof inspection, photographing every slope.
  2. Document the hail, wind or limb damage you find.
  3. Work the insurance claim alongside our in-house licensed adjuster, including the carrier adjuster meeting and any supplements.
  4. Walk through options and colors in the RoofMap homeowner portal.
  5. Coordinate the build; most replacements finish in one day.
  6. Do the final walkthrough, as the homeowner's single point of contact from start to finish.

What we pay

The split is not reduced by fees taken off the top before it is calculated. Our compensation explainer covers why that matters and what to ask any employer.

Training and values

No roofing background is needed. We provide HAAG certification and comprehensive training, and you learn with a licensed Property and Casualty insurance adjuster on our staff. We hire for communication, follow-through and honesty, and we never waive deductibles, which is illegal in Georgia. Learn more in roofing sales with no experience and why work at Robust Roofing.
