How to read this
A zip code inside a hail swath means the storm cell passed over it with hail of that estimated size somewhere in the zip. Whether a particular roof was damaged depends on shingle age, which slopes faced the storm, and what sheltered the house. Hail of one inch and up is the size most often behind roof replacement claims, though coverage depends on the inspection and the policy; three-quarter-inch hail can bruise shingles that are already aging. The inspection is free and settles the question with photos.
