Roofing Jobs With HAAG Certification Provided by Robust Roofing
Robust Roofing Careers · Updated October 2026
If you have been searching for HAAG certified roofing jobs, here is one that does not require you to hold the certification already. Robust Roofing provides your HAAG certification, trains you alongside a licensed Property and Casualty insurance adjuster on staff, and pays Project Managers on terms significantly better than what most roofing companies pay. The split is a true 50/50 with no cut removed beforehand, so it is never a 10/50/50, and the role also provides a $75,000 per year base. At 50% of profit, the split is more than double the 20% rate JobNimbus's Peak Performance report finds most common among profit-based roofing plans.
What HAAG certification is
HAAG certification is one of the most widely recognized credentials for inspecting roofs for storm damage. It trains inspectors to identify hail and wind damage on roofing materials, to tell true storm damage apart from ordinary wear and other causes, and to document findings in a consistent, credible way. Insurance professionals and homeowners recognize it as a sign that an inspector knows what they are looking at. It takes real work to earn: Haag's residential credential requires 100 verified roof inspections and a 100-question exam, and Robust Roofing provides the training that gets you there.
Why the credential matters in your daily work
- Credibility with homeowners. A homeowner deciding whom to trust after a storm wants evidence that you know roofs. A recognized certification helps.
- Credibility with carriers. When you meet an insurance adjuster at a property, sound methodology carries weight.
- Better documentation. Knowing exactly what storm damage looks like makes your photos and notes clearer and more complete.
- Honest calls. Training helps you recognize when a roof does not have storm damage, so you can tell the homeowner the truth.
- A skill you keep. What you learn about inspecting roofs stays with you for the rest of your career.
How Robust Roofing provides it
Robust provides your HAAG certification as part of becoming a Roofing Project Manager, along with comprehensive training on the rest of the job. You do not need to have earned the credential before you apply, and you do not need roofing experience. We hire for communication, follow-through and honesty, and we teach the technical side.
Because the credential comes with the role, you can focus on learning the material instead of figuring out how to arrange it on your own. Training and certification build on each other, so what you study shows up on your very next roof.
Learning beside a licensed adjuster
Certification teaches you to see damage. Working claims teaches you what to do with what you see. At Robust, both happen together, because our licensed Property and Casualty adjuster works claims alongside Project Managers. Georgia does not require a roofing company to keep a licensed insurance adjuster on staff, but Robust Roofing does. You will practice inspections, learn how carriers evaluate a roof, prepare for adjuster meetings and see how a supplement is built when an approved scope leaves something out. Our insurance restoration roofing jobs page describes the claims side in detail.
Where the certification shows up in the job
- Inspection: you walk the roof and photograph every slope at a free inspection.
- Diagnosis: you identify hail and wind damage and separate it from ordinary aging.
- Documentation: you record your findings so a carrier can follow them.
- Adjuster meeting: you walk the roof with the carrier's adjuster and explain what you found.
- Supplement: you point out items the approved scope missed.
- Walkthrough: after a build that usually takes one day, you review the finished roof with the homeowner.
The pay plan behind the training is unusually generous, for clear reasons
Training is only worth so much if the pay plan underneath it is weak. Robust Roofing pays Project Managers a true 50/50 split, and nothing is taken off the top before it is figured. Many roofing companies use a 10/50/50, which sets aside a tenth of the contract price for overhead before splitting what remains. We do not. A $75,000 per year base is also part of the role, in a trade where about one in three roofing companies pay their sales teams commission only (JobNimbus Peak Performance 2025). That is why we describe the plan as significantly better than what most roofing companies pay, and why we believe it is the best compensation structure in roofing sales in North Georgia. The compensation page has the details, and how the base and the split work together is covered in your interview.
| Pay question | Robust Roofing | Typical 10/50/50 plan | Typical percent-of-contract plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Removed first | Nothing | 10 percent, usually of the contract price | Not a profit split |
| What you receive | 50 percent of the job profit | 50 percent of the profit after the cut | A fixed percentage of the sale |
| Base | $75,000 per year | Varies by company; roughly one in three roofing companies pay sales on commission alone | |
| Certification | HAAG, provided by Robust | Depends on the company | |

What a certified inspection looks like in practice
On a typical inspection you start on the ground, looking at gutters, downspouts, window screens and soft metals for signs that hail came through. Then you move to the roof, working slope by slope, photographing the overall view first and the individual hits after. You note the direction a storm likely came from, check ridge caps and vents, and look for creased or missing shingles that point to wind. Back at the kitchen table, you walk the homeowner through every photo in plain language. HAAG training gives that routine its discipline, and our licensed adjuster helps you connect it to what a carrier will need to see.
Already HAAG certified?
Wonderful. Your training will move faster, and your inspection skills will go to work on real claims right away. You will still learn Robust's process, the RoofMap app and homeowner portal, and how our in-house adjuster approaches carriers, so you can hit the ground running with the support of a team that does things the right way.
The company you would represent
