Insurance Restoration Roofing Jobs: Work Every Claim Beside a Licensed Adjuster
Robust Roofing Careers · Updated October 2026
Insurance restoration is the part of roofing where homeowners need the most help and often get the least of it. Robust Roofing is hiring Project Managers who want to do this work well, and we give you something Georgia does not even require of roofing companies: a licensed Property and Casualty insurance adjuster on staff who works claims right alongside you. The pay matches the support. Your split is a true 50/50 and the company takes nothing off the top before figuring it, unlike a 10/50/50. The role also has a $75,000 per year base, a combination significantly better than what most roofing companies pay. That base matters most in this corner of the trade: nearly half of insurance-focused roofing companies pay their sales teams commission only, according to JobNimbus's 2025 Peak Performance data.
What insurance restoration roofing means
An insurance restoration job is a roof replacement or repair paid for, in whole or in part, through the homeowner's insurance policy after storm damage. The homeowner pays their deductible, and the carrier covers the approved scope of work. Getting from a damaged roof to an approved scope takes careful documentation, clear communication with the carrier and, often, a supplement when something is missing from the first estimate.
Why most people find claims intimidating
Carriers have their own processes, terminology and adjusters. A homeowner facing a claim for the first time often feels outmatched, and so does a new roofing rep who has been handed a tablet and told to figure it out. The biggest frustrations tend to look the same everywhere:
- Not knowing what evidence a carrier needs to see.
- Meeting the carrier's adjuster with nobody experienced in your corner.
- An approved scope that leaves out items the roof clearly needs.
- Long gaps where nobody tells the homeowner what is happening.
What a licensed adjuster on staff changes for you
At Robust Roofing, you never face a claim alone. Our in-house adjuster is licensed in Property and Casualty insurance, a Georgia license that requires state-approved prelicensing coursework, a state exam and fingerprinting, and you work alongside them from the first inspection photos to the final approved scope. In practice, that means:
- You learn the right way from day one. You see how a licensed professional approaches a claim, frames documentation and communicates with carriers.
- Your documentation gets sharper. Feedback on real claims teaches you which photos and measurements matter most.
- Adjuster meetings feel manageable. When you meet the carrier's adjuster at a property, expert guidance stands behind your work.
- Supplements are handled properly. When an approved scope misses items, you prepare a supplement with expert help.
- Homeowners get honest answers. If a roof does not qualify, you can tell the homeowner so with confidence.
A claim from start to finish at Robust
- You meet the homeowner and run a free inspection, photographing every slope.
- You document the hail or wind damage you find.
- The homeowner opens a claim with their carrier, and you help them understand each step.
- You meet the carrier's adjuster at the home, prepared and supported.
- Once the scope is approved, you review it with our licensed adjuster and prepare any supplement it needs.
- The homeowner chooses options and colors with you in the RoofMap portal.
- You coordinate the build, which usually wraps up in one day.
- You complete the final walkthrough together.
Why claims skill grows with every job
Insurance work rewards repetition. The first claim you document may feel slow. By the tenth, you know which angles a carrier's adjuster will ask about, which items tend to get left off an early scope, and how to explain depreciation and deductibles in a sentence a homeowner understands. Working beside a licensed adjuster speeds that learning up, because every question you have gets a real answer the same week instead of a guess.
Honest claims only
Robust Roofing never waives deductibles. Waiving or absorbing a homeowner's deductible is illegal in Georgia, and a business that depends on it puts every project at risk. Because we follow the rules, our Project Managers never have to make promises they cannot keep. That makes the work cleaner, the claims sturdier and the conversations at the kitchen table a lot easier.
Pay that is unusually generous for insurance restoration
Insurance restoration pay is usually tied to the profit of each job, so the split is where the details matter. Many companies first pull a percentage of the contract price for overhead, then split the remainder 50/50. That is a 10/50/50. On a Robust claim, nothing is pulled first. The profit on the job is split 50/50 between you and the company, no fee attached. That 50% is more than double the 20% JobNimbus's Peak Performance report finds most common among roofing companies that pay commission on profit. The Project Manager role also includes a $75,000 per year base, and how the two pieces work together is something we explain in your interview. Read the full compensation details or our explainer on what a 10/50/50 split is.
| Claim job pay | Robust Roofing | Typical 10/50/50 plan | Typical percent-of-contract plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pulled first | Nothing | 10 percent, often of the contract price | The company keeps the margin outside your rate |
| Your share | 50 percent of the job profit | 50 percent of the remainder | A set percentage of the contract |
| Base | $75,000 per year | Depends on the company; nearly half of insurance-focused roofers pay sales commission only | |
| Claims help | Licensed adjuster on staff | Depends on the company | |
