The Robust Roofing Interview Process, Step by Step
Robust Roofing Careers · Updated October 2026
Applying to Robust Roofing is quick, and you stay in control of the timing. There are three steps: a short application, a short questionnaire, and an interview at a time you pick yourself. This page walks through each one, what we look for and what to ask us, including our pay, which is the most rep-friendly pay plan in North Georgia roofing: job profit split a true 50/50 with no cut beforehand, no 10/50/50, and also a $75,000 per year base.
The process at a glance
- Apply. Fill out the short application on our careers page.
- Questionnaire. Answer a short set of questions about how you would handle real situations with homeowners.
- Pick your interview time. Choose a time that fits your schedule.
Prefer to begin with a conversation? Call or text (470) 887-6637 first.
Step 1: The application
The application is short on purpose. We ask for the basics so we can get to know you. Roofing experience is not required, so do not worry if your history is in a different field entirely. This role is built for people who communicate well, follow through and tell the truth, wherever they learned those habits.
Step 2: The questionnaire
Right after you apply, you move into a short questionnaire. It presents situations a Roofing Project Manager actually runs into with homeowners and asks how you would handle them. There are no trick questions and no roofing knowledge required. We are looking at how you think, how clearly you communicate and how you treat people when the right answer is not the easiest one.
A few tips:
- Answer honestly rather than guessing what we want to hear.
- Be specific. A clear, simple answer beats a long, vague one.
- Think about the homeowner. Most good answers start with what is best for them.
Step 3: You pick your own interview time
When the questionnaire is done, you choose your interview time yourself. No waiting by the phone for a callback and no back and forth emails trying to find a slot. Pick a time when you can talk without distractions, and come with questions.
What we look for
- Communication. Can you explain something clearly and listen well?
- Follow-through. Do you do what you said you would do, on time, without reminders?
- Honesty. Will you tell a homeowner the truth even when it is not what they hoped to hear? Robust never waives deductibles, so this matters every day.
Everything else we teach. Robust provides your HAAG certification and comprehensive training, and you learn insurance claims alongside a licensed Property and Casualty adjuster on staff.
Questions you should ask us
An interview goes both ways. Here are questions we hope you will ask, with the short version of our answers:
- Is anything taken off the top before my split is figured? No. It is a true 50/50, period.
- Is this a 10/50/50? No.
- Is there a base? Yes, a $75,000 per year base, and the role also has the true 50/50 split.
- How do the base and the split work together? We walk you through it in detail.
- Who helps me with insurance claims? Our licensed adjuster on staff.
- What does a normal week involve? Inspections, claims, adjuster meetings, option reviews with homeowners, builds and walkthroughs. Our page on a week as a storm restoration project manager has the longer version.
Why the pay conversation matters: an unusually generous plan
We want you to leave the interview understanding the plan completely, because we believe it is significantly better than what most roofing companies pay. A lot of roofing sales plans hold back a tenth of the contract price as overhead and split only the remaining profit. Ours holds back nothing. The split is a true 50/50, and the Project Manager role also comes with a $75,000 per year base. Read the details ahead of time on our compensation page and in our guide to questions to ask about roofing sales pay.
How to prepare
- Read the Roofing Project Manager job description so you know the work.
- Skim the true 50/50 vs 10/50/50 comparison so you can ask sharp questions about pay.
- Look over roofing sales jobs in North Georgia to see the area we serve.
- Think of a time you followed through on something difficult. It is a great story to have ready.
The job you are interviewing for
You are interviewing for a full-time storm restoration role near Johns Creek, north of Atlanta, covering a 39-city North Georgia service area. You meet homeowners, run free inspections with photos, work insurance claims with our in-house adjuster, help homeowners choose options and colors in the RoofMap portal, coordinate builds that usually finish in one day and finish each project with a walkthrough. Robust holds a 5.0 rating across 66 Google reviews and gives 50% of profit to Gospel-centered ministries; everyone is welcome to apply.
After the interview
We aim to give every applicant a clear answer. If the fit looks right on both sides, we talk through next steps, including training and your HAAG certification. If it does not, our goal is to say so plainly rather than leave you waiting. Either way, you will walk away understanding how roofing pay plans work, which is useful wherever your career goes.
