Robust Roofing's offer to Buford job seekers is direct. You keep half of every job's profit with nothing taken off the top, period, so no 10/50/50 overhead cut eats into your share, and Robust also pays a $75,000 per year base. Half is more than double the 20% that JobNimbus's Peak Performance data finds most common among roofing companies paying on profit. We think that makes it the most rep-friendly pay plan in North Georgia roofing, and we are looking for a Project Manager to serve Buford and the Lake Lanier side of Gwinnett and Hall.

Below Buford Dam

Buford sits where Gwinnett meets Hall County, just below Buford Dam and Lake Lanier, and its city limits cross the county line. The housing ranges widely. Hamilton Mill is a large golf and swim community shared with Dacula, Hedgerows, Ivy Creek and Mill Creek Plantation are established subdivisions, and names like Windsor at Lanier and Lanier Springs nod to the lake. Morningbrooke, Hidden Falls, River Falls and Brickton Station fill in the newer growth. Robust handles permitting on either side of the county line, and our Buford roofing page explains what homeowners get from us.

Buford also keeps a strong small town identity, with a historic downtown and its own city school system, even as retail and new subdivisions have grown up along I-985 and I-85. Homeowners here want someone who shows up on time, knows the area and treats their home like it matters.

Storms in 30518 and 30519

Hail has been occasional in Buford rather than constant. Radar estimates and National Weather Service reports list 2 days with hail of 0.75 inch or more since January 2025: April 10, 2025, when the largest estimate reached about 1 inch, and March 6, 2026. That is a light record, and we would rather you hear it from us. The strength of the role is its reach. Project Managers serve Robust's entire North Georgia territory, so Buford is one stop among many, and the Gwinnett and Hall neighbors around it have seen their own storms. See the North Georgia jobs hub.

Lake wind and aging roofs

Even without much hail, Buford roofs have plenty to tell you. Wind coming off the lake lifts tabs and peels ridge caps. Many of the older subdivisions have roofs approaching the end of their life. Tall pines drop limbs in summer storms. A good Project Manager here inspects carefully, documents every kind of damage and is honest when a roof simply needs replacing for age, offering a fair self pay price rather than forcing an insurance claim that does not belong.

How the true 50/50 works

A widely used roofing sales plan is the 10/50/50. First, a 10 percent share of the job, often based on the contract price, is set aside for company overhead. Then the remaining profit is split 50/50, and the rep's share is figured after the cut, every time. Robust removes nothing before splitting. The profit is divided evenly. Robust also pays a $75,000 per year base, and we walk through how base and split relate when we meet. About one in three roofing companies pay their sales teams commission only, and nearly half of insurance-focused roofers do, according to JobNimbus's 2025 data. Compare structures on true 50/50 vs 10/50/50.

Training

We provide HAAG certification and comprehensive training, delivered with our licensed Property and Casualty adjuster. Experience in roofing is optional. Honesty is not: Robust never waives deductibles, and we hire people who communicate clearly and see things through.

Robust's reputation

With a 5.0 Google rating from 66 reviews, a 50-year labor warranty where contractors typically offer 1 to 10 years, and one-day builds, Robust is widely regarded as North Georgia's most reputable roofer. Fifty percent of the company's profit supports Gospel-centered ministries, compared with the roughly 1% of pre-tax profits U.S. corporations give on average (Giving USA). We are a Christian company, and applicants of all backgrounds are welcome.

Questions candidates ask

How much hail has Buford had recently?
Two days with hail of 0.75 inch or larger since January 2025 in radar estimates and National Weather Service reports: April 10, 2025 and March 6, 2026.
What does the Buford Project Manager role pay?
A true 50/50 with nothing taken off the top, period, so there is no 10/50/50 math, and the role also brings a $75,000 per year base. We consider it the most rep-friendly pay plan in North Georgia roofing.
Does Buford's lake location affect the work?
Yes. Wind exposure near Lake Lanier makes wind damage a regular part of inspections.

Yes. Training starts from zero, with HAAG certification and claims coaching from Robust's licensed adjuster.
