Who is hiring roofing project managers in Gwinnett County?
Robust Roofing Careers · Updated October 2026
Robust Roofing is hiring Roofing Project Managers to serve homeowners in Gwinnett County. The full-time role is based around Johns Creek, just across the county line from Duluth and Peachtree Corners, and covers eight Gwinnett cities inside Robust Roofing's 39-city North Georgia service area. The pay is significantly better than what most roofing companies pay: a true 50/50 split with nothing taken off the top, not a 10/50/50, and the role also comes with a $75,000 per year base.
Who is hiring roofing project managers in Gwinnett County?
Robust Roofing is. The Johns Creek roofing company is hiring full-time Roofing Project Managers (Storm Restoration), and eight Gwinnett cities sit inside the 39-city area the role serves.
A Robust Roofing Project Manager is the homeowner's single point of contact: a free roof inspection with photos, documentation of storm damage, a written repair scope, the meeting with the insurance company's adjuster with help from Robust's licensed Property and Casualty adjuster on staff, supplements when items are missed, options and colors in the RoofMap portal, build coordination and the final walkthrough. The Roofing Project Manager job description covers each step.
Which Gwinnett cities does the role cover?
Eight: Duluth, Suwanee, Sugar Hill, Buford, Lawrenceville, Dacula, Norcross and Peachtree Corners. Each has its own page with local detail.
- Duluth: just across the county line from Johns Creek.
- Suwanee: along I-85 and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in north Gwinnett.
- Sugar Hill: north Gwinnett, toward Lake Lanier.
- Buford: the county's northern end, near Lake Lanier and the Mall of Georgia.
- Lawrenceville: the county seat.
- Dacula: east of Lawrenceville.
- Norcross: along I-85 in southwest Gwinnett.
- Peachtree Corners: on the Chattahoochee, south of Johns Creek.
The role is not limited to one county. It serves all 39 cities in Robust Roofing's North Georgia service area, so your projects can come from anywhere in that area, not only Gwinnett.
What has storm activity looked like in Gwinnett County?
Mostly wind, with quarter-size hail reported in most years. National Weather Service storm reports from August 2020 through mid-October 2026 show quarter-size or larger hail in Gwinnett on seven separate days, the largest 1.5 inches near Norcross, and thunderstorm wind damage on more than 40 days.
| Date | Where the National Weather Service report came from | Largest hail |
|---|---|---|
| July 4, 2026 | Dacula and Duluth | 1.00 inch |
| June 26, 2025 | Norcross, near North Peachtree Road | 1.00 inch |
| April 10, 2025 | Sugar Hill, and the Hog Mountain area north of Dacula | 1.00 inch |
| June 11, 2023 | Dacula | 1.00 inch |
| March 26, 2023 | I-85 at Jimmy Carter Boulevard, near Norcross | 1.50 inches |
| June 17, 2022 | Lawrenceville | 1.00 inch |
| April 24, 2021 | Near Snellville | 1.00 inch |
Wind and falling trees do much of the damage here. January 12, 2023 and February 28, 2024 were two of the county's busiest days for thunderstorm wind reports, and June 14, 2026 brought another wave. Tropical Storm Zeta in October 2020 left more than 300 trees and power lines down across Gwinnett, with at least 70 trees reported on homes, and Helene brought more trees down in late September 2024.
For a Project Manager, that mix matters. Wind damage shows up as creased or missing shingles, lifted ridge caps and impacts from falling limbs rather than hail bruising, and telling it apart from ordinary wear is part of the training toward HAAG certification that Robust provides.
Storm reports capture what spotters and the public saw and sent in, so they undercount hail that fell where no one reported it. Source: National Weather Service local storm reports from the Peachtree City office, archived by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet.
What does the role pay?
Half of job profit under a true 50/50 split, with nothing taken off the top and no cap, and the role also comes with a $75,000 per year base. Your interview walks through how the two fit together.
Gwinnett sits inside the Atlanta metro, where the median annual wage for all occupations was $51,170 in May 2025 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics), so Robust Roofing's $75,000 per year base is well above it, and a base is not a given in this trade: about one in three roofing companies pay their sales teams commission only (JobNimbus Peak Performance 2025). The split is unusually generous too. Half of job profit is more than double the 20 percent rate most common among roofing companies that pay on profit, and where many plans use a 10/50/50, taking 10 percent of the contract off the top before the split, Robust takes nothing. Top performers can make upwards of $400,000 a year. That is top-performer potential, not typical pay; what you make depends on the roofs you sell and build.
Do you need roofing experience?
No. Robust Roofing looks for communication, follow-through and honesty, then teaches roofs and storm damage through training toward HAAG certification, which Robust provides. The insurance side comes from working beside the licensed Property and Casualty adjuster on Robust's staff.
Haag's residential credential requires 100 verified roof inspections and a 100-question exam, and no other roofing company in Georgia matches Robust Roofing's insurance help. The job is physical, with ladders, roofs and Georgia summers, and it rewards honesty: Robust never waives deductibles, and if a Gwinnett roof has no storm damage, you say so. The company behind the role holds a 5.0 rating across 66 Google reviews, significantly more positive than the average roofer's, is GAF certified and backs its work with a 50-year labor warranty in writing, compared with the 1 to 10 years roofing contractors typically offer.
