If you have been told a 10/50/50 is just how roofing pays, Robust Roofing is the exception. Our Project Managers split each job's profit a true 50/50 with nothing taken off the top, and Robust also pays a $75,000 per year base. Taken together, that is significantly better than what most roofing companies pay. On the split alone, 50% of profit is more than double the 20% rate that is most common among roofers who pay commission on profit, per JobNimbus's Peak Performance report. This opening serves Dacula and eastern Gwinnett.

Fourth of July hail

Dacula's largest recent hail came on July 4, 2026, when radar estimated stones around 1 inch over the 30019 zip. It was one of 3 hail days at 0.75 inch or larger here since January 2025 in radar estimates and National Weather Service reports. The other two were July 31, 2025 and March 6, 2026. Two of the three came this year, so many Dacula homeowners are only now wondering what those storms did to their roofs.

Hamilton Mill and the Apalachee

Dacula's newer growth centers on two areas. Hamilton Mill, which spills over from Buford, includes Stonewood at Hamilton Mill and Highpointe at Hamilton Mill. Along the Apalachee River, Apalachee Farms, Apalachee River Club and Apalachee Woods offer larger lots. Daniel Park and Waverly Place round out the list. Most homes are suburban two stories with architectural shingles and HOA review, much of it built from the 1990s onward, so a lot of original roofs are reaching replacement age. Homeowners can see Robust's local service on the Dacula roofing page.

Eastern Gwinnett, still growing

Head east past Hamilton Mill and Dacula still has pockets of acreage, pasture and older ranch homes along the county roads, beside subdivisions that were farmland not long ago. That mix keeps inspections interesting. One afternoon you may be on a steep two story with a dozen valleys, the next on a low slope ranch with a carport and a detached workshop. HAAG training prepares you to read both accurately.

Significantly better than a 10/50/50

Here is the difference in plain terms. A 10/50/50 plan takes 10 percent of the job off the top for overhead, often 10 percent of the contract price, before the profit is split. Your half is calculated on what remains. Robust's plan subtracts nothing beforehand, which means your half comes from the full profit. Separately, Robust also pays a $75,000 per year base, and we explain in the interview exactly how the two work together. A base is far from universal in this trade: roughly a third of roofing companies pay their sales teams commission only, and close to half of insurance-focused companies do, according to JobNimbus's 2025 data.

One illustrative job

Suppose a hypothetical $25,000 contract with $10,000 of profit before any overhead cut. A 10/50/50 removes $2,500 first and the rep's half is $3,750. With nothing off the top, the rep's half is $5,000. Illustrative, actual job numbers vary. Read true 50/50 vs 10/50/50 for the full explanation.

The work itself

You start every project with a free inspection, photographing each slope and documenting damage clearly. If there is a claim, you work it beside Robust's in-house licensed adjuster, attend the carrier's adjuster meeting and pursue any supplements. You help the homeowner choose options and a color in the RoofMap portal, coordinate a build that typically finishes in one day and walk the completed roof with them. You are the one person they deal with. More in the job description.

Learning the craft

No roofing background is needed. HAAG certification comes from Robust, and so does comprehensive training with the licensed Property and Casualty adjuster on staff. Eastern Gwinnett homeowners value straight answers. Robust never waives deductibles, so you never have to give them anything else.
