Roofing Project Manager Jobs in Ball Ground, Georgia
Robust Roofing Careers · Updated October 2026
Robust Roofing is hiring a Project Manager to serve Ball Ground and northeastern Cherokee County on a pay plan many in the trade call the best compensation model in roofing sales. The reason is simple. Profit is split as a true 50/50, nothing comes off the top, there is no 10/50/50 math, and the role also pays a $75,000 per year base. Across the trade, about one in three roofing companies pay sales commission only, according to JobNimbus's 2025 Peak Performance data.
Railroad, marble and new rooftops
Ball Ground grew up around the railroad and the marble trade of northern Cherokee County, and its small downtown still looks the part. Around it, newer subdivisions have filled in: River Rock, Marble Tree, Malone's Pond, 1882 at Old Canton, The Preserve at Etowah, The Preserve at Long Swamp Creek and Etowah Landing, alongside Laurel Lake and Pooles Mill and plenty of homes on rural acreage. That mix means you may inspect a brand new roof in the morning and an old farmhouse roof in the afternoon. Learn more about our homeowner service on the Ball Ground roofing page.
Out here, many homeowners have never had a roofing company walk them through its findings with photos. Showing them the roof on a phone screen, slope by slope, and saying plainly when something is wear rather than hail, is how trust gets built in a town this size.
What the radar shows, and what it does not
Ball Ground's hail all came in one stretch. Radar estimates and National Weather Service reports place hail of 0.75 inch or larger over the 30107 zip on 4 days: April 10, May 2, June 14 and June 27, 2025. Two reached an inch or more, and the biggest estimate, about 1.1 inches, came on June 27. Since then the record has been quiet, with nothing at that size so far in 2026. We say that plainly because job seekers deserve accurate information. Some roofs that took hail in spring 2025 may still have damage nobody has documented, and Ball Ground is only one part of a much larger service area. The North Georgia jobs page shows the rest.
Pay: the long explanation
Ask most roofing companies how they pay and you will hear 50/50. Ask what comes out first and the answer is often 10 percent of the contract, taken for overhead before the split. That is a 10/50/50, and it means the rep's half is figured on a smaller profit number on every job. Robust takes nothing off the top: no overhead slice, no office fee, no lead fee. Your half is half of the real profit, and that half is more than double the 20% of profit JobNimbus finds most common among roofing companies that pay on profit. Separately, Robust also pays a $75,000 per year base. Compare them yourself on true 50/50 vs 10/50/50.
Your role
A free inspection with photos starts every project. You document storm damage, work the claim with our in-house licensed adjuster (carrier adjuster meetings, supplements), help the homeowner choose colors and options in the RoofMap portal, coordinate a build that usually finishes in a day, and finish with a walkthrough. From start to end, you are the homeowner's single point of contact. Many Ball Ground properties also have barns, workshops or detached garages, and homeowners often ask about those roofs too, so you learn to look at the whole property. The Roofing Project Manager job description covers more.
No experience? That is fine.
Every new Project Manager gets HAAG certification from Robust and learns claims at the elbow of our licensed Property and Casualty insurance adjuster. Rural and small town homeowners value plain talk and people who do what they say, and so do we. Robust never waives deductibles, so you never have to have that awkward conversation.
